In the beginning
JLynn theWriter grew up in a music household. His father wanted him and his siblings to be the next Jackson Five. As early as 9, he would lead his sibling group in song; singing classics from Boyz II Men, Dru Hill, and Jodeci at town fairs and other events around his home state.
Originally from Georgia, JLynn escaped crime ridden neighborhoods and went to college. There, he nourished his love for other genres of music that he had already cultivated; alternative music being his favorite genre.
He started a part time job in radio at the age of 16. He would often be tasked with creating radio spots for paid advertisements. One got the attention of Akon when he came to town. He told JLynn to look him up when he got older, but JLynn didn’t like the business of music and started writing books and movie scripts instead.

JLynn eventually left entertainment altogether to raise a family. One day his back gave out at work which led to a discover of a debilitating auto-immune nerve disease. He had to give up physical labor altogether. Months later, the pandemic hit. He thought he had COVID and went to get checked out. He tested negative for COVID. But, another discovery led him being diagnosed with a second debilitating auto-immune disease that affected his lungs.
Devastated, JLynn started sorting through old written songs, recording them with friends who refer to themselves as “Team Don’t Wanna Be Famous”, and posting them on the internet. This led to him being discovered by multi-platinum producer, J Reid Chevi* (song credits Chun Li, Pink Friday Girls, Barbie Tingz by Nicki Minaj) and earned him the nicknames “David Guetta of the West” and “Theron 2.0”. Together, they formed the writer-producer duo called Jedi Knights. Their major placement got postponed in 2026, but they have several smaller projects with unknown artists as they build up the roster for Chevi Music.
Other notable figures of music with high praise for JLynn theWriter include: Chris Moradi (former A&R), Danny Jacobson (Head of A&R at Hallwood Media), Matthew Tuck (Nebula), & Gary Marella (Mono Music Group).
Apart from that, JLynn wishes to strike gold on his own to support his International Brand Auido Strategist business and other ventures that he has in store: AURi Radio (a station that supports indie artists), Deuce Deuce Films (a film company for all of his movie and television scripts), and Let It Owt (a peer-to-peer support platform for those suffering from mental health related issues).
JLynn has a catalog of more than 70 songs written since the summer of 2025, several books, and a number of scripts. He is the definition of walking IP.
